The Abyssinian War Medal was awarded for service between 4 October 1867-19 April 1868 to those who participated in the 1868 Expedition to Abyssinia. The lot consists of (A) Abyssinian War Medal named on reverse "742. / J. GARVIN. / 26TH REGT.". CONDITION: Light patina, very good overall. (B) Abyssinian War Medal named on reverse "790. / W. MORIARTY / 1ST BATTN. / 4TH THE / K.O.R. RGT.". William Moriarty is confirmed in the rolls as a member of the 1st Battalion 4th (King's Own) Regiment of Foot. CONDITION: Light patina, very good overall.
