An early Model 1933 SA Dagger by Haenel of Suhl with a "HAENEL (arrow) / C.G. HAENEL / SUHL / WAFFEN-U. FAHRRAD- / FABRIK" marked nickel-plated steel blade. The acid-etched "Alles fur Deutschland" motto and Haenel manufacturer's mark are both beautifully executed. Guard with district mark "Mi" for Halle-Merseburg. Haenel trademark light color wood grip with original eagle and SA roundel. Complete with anodized steel scabbard with nickel-plated steel fittings. Unmarked SA hanger attached to carry ring. CONDITION: Blade is very good with scattered light blemishes, moderate runner marks, and visible cross-graining. Early nickel-plated fittings retain nice amounts of their original plating with scattered blemishes and a moderate patina. Wood grip with scattered blemishes including handing wear and patina to eagle. Scabbard features most of the original brown hue. Fittings retain all screws with generous traces of original nickel plating and a nice patina. Scattered handling marks to fittings. Dagger fits tightly in scabbard.
