German World War II Kriegsmarine company grade officer visor cap with an upper body made from a fine quality dark blue wool, exhibiting light staining and moderate amount of nap/ moth damage on top. The damage doesn't prevent the cap from displaying nicely. Center band is wrapped with woven black wool, visor is covered with dark blue wool, and front company grade officer braid is made from late cellon bullion; all with light wear. The visor insignia is gold cellon embroidery on a blue and black wool backing, and correctly hand applied. The leather chinstrap is in good condition with crazing and heat damage. The interior of the cap is lined with a cream colored rayon lining with moderate sweat staining, and the sweat shield is missing. The pliable black leather sweat band is intact with light to moderate wear. CONDITION: Overall very good. WEZ
