German World War II Heer Erel Panzer officer visor cap made in a high quality tricot Feldgrau wool with light wear and damage. The wool is soiled (dust and dirt) throughout (mainly on top), and will present better when cleaned. The dark green wool center band with light wear, damage and soiling. Pink wool piping is intact with light wear. Both the Heer silver bullion eagle and wreath/ cockade have been reapplied, have light damage, and are off-center. Officer bullion chin cord with light wear and damaged is attached. The black vulkanfibre visor has light crazing throughout, with the underside in a medium brown crosshatch pattern, with very light wear. The interior is fully lined in a light gold rayon with no visible damage and very light staining. The celluoid sweatshield is present with several creases, a half inch crack, and a small piece missing along the left side stitch line. Liner is marked "Erel Sonderklasse, Kleiderklasse, Berlin", etc. The gray leather sweatband is intact, is lightly embossed with "EREL PATENT, STIRNSCHUTZ", with light wear and damage, and moderate staining. A "Guarantee of Authenticity" from the former militaria dealer Detlev Niemann is included, and is dated 2005. CONDITION: Overall very good. WEZ
