German World War II Heer cavalry enlisted visor cap made in a Feldgrau wool with light to moderate wear and damage, and moderate to heavy soiling. Light moth tracking and several nips, as well as a quarter inch under the left side. Dark green wool center band with light wear, soiling, and several moth nips. Cavalry branch piping has light to moderate wear and soiling, as well as several moth nips. Heer aluminum eagle and wreath/ cockade have light wear, and may have been replaced. Enlisted chin cord has moderate wear and crazing, with heavy patina to the fittings. Black vulkanfibre visor and tan underside exhibits light crazing and moderate wear. Interior is fully lined in a tan rayon with moderate staining, with 3 inches of ripped damage in the front. Celluloid sweat shield is intact, has several creases, moderate wear, and is marked "Pekuro Sitrndruckfrei" and "Deutsches Reichpatent". Brown leather sweatband has heavy wear and damage, with approximately 10 inches of separation. A "Guarantee of Authenticity' from the former militaria dealer Detlev Niemann is included, and is dated 2002. CONDITION: Overall good to very good. WEZ
