German World War II senior NCO ("Spiess") tunic known to collectors as the M43 tropical tunic. Tunic is made from a olive cotton twill which exhibits heavy fading, moderate staining on the inside, and light wear. Tunic is dated "42", the depot marking is illegible, and size markings are present and legible. M43 style pockets and flaps have a BeVo tropical eagle sewn correctly over/on the right breast pocket, which has been "zip and flipped" sewn, with a machine stitch along the top and the rest hand-sewn. Collar tabs and tropical NCO collar tress are correctly machine-sewn, and 2 sets of tropical NCO tress are machine-applied to the lower sleeves, to represent a senior NCO "Spiess". A ribbon bar is attached to 2 sewn loops, and black wound badge is attached with one remaining sewn loop (the 2nd one is not intact). A pair of NCO tropical shoulder straps are attached, but are well-made reproductions All buttons appear to be original and have the correct ring attachments.
