Circa 1990. A 12 gauge Italian nitro proofed sporting gun with 28" blued steel barrels with 2 - 3/4" chambers and ejectors. Barrels are built with a low profiled wide ventilated rib. Rib fit with orange polymer front sight. Barrels are fit with multi-chokes. Top barrel reads "P. BERETTA - ITALY", "CAM. 70" and "18.4". Bottom barrel reads "EXCELSIOR - HIGH STRENGTH ALLOYED STEEL", "KG1.410" and "18.4". Bottom of barrels read "PB" with Crown above, "S05", "C12686B", "AZ" in square and Italian proof markings. Coin finished sidelock receiver with light decorative scroll is engraved "P. Beretta" on both lock plates. Action is fit with Kersten cross bolt locking fastener. Action is also built with a checkered thumb slide safe with integrated barrel selector for the gun's single mechanical checkered trigger. Bottom action with light scroll "P. Beretta" inlaid in gold. Trigger is protected by a double rolled edged trigger guard which extends to a 3/4 length bottom strap. Serial number is beneath top lever and "S" is engraved for safe. Bottom strap engraved with model "S.O.5". Dark reddish brown European walnut stock with sharp, fine, and tight checkered pistol grip is built with a right-hand palm swell and finished by a black Decelerator rubber pad. Sporting forearm with coin finished Deeley style latch release. Gun lives in Beretta blue and brown Beretta logo case with chokes, cleaning equipment, and turnscrews. CONDITION: Very good. Barrels with 80% original blue. Bores are good. Action, trigger, and ejectors function well. Stock and forend are very good with very light handling marks. Case is very good with indications of use and storage. Nice sporting gun.
