Known for his high art style folding knives, Joe Kious was a longtime Knifemaker's Guild member who made and sold knives from 1969-2014 out of his Kerrville, Texas shop. 2 - 3/8" blade and 6" in overall length with cast stainless steel handle engraved by Bruce Shaw, with large floral scroll on a textured background with a sheep's head in his own vignette on one side and a full body sheep on the other side in his own vignette. Spine of blade as well as blade catch are file worked in a consistent rope-like border. Ricasso is marked "KIOUS" on one side. CONDITION: Excellent+, with blade bright and markings sharp. Handle is in matching shape with engraving lines sharp and no major signs of distress. Mechanically fine, as knife locks into place firmly.
