8" blade and 13 - 1/2" overall length with stag handle and polished stainless steel grip cap. Blade is etched in a patriotic style as seen on bowie knives of the late Federal period and Civil War period with "AMERICANS / ASK FOR NOTHING BUT WHAT IS / RIGHT / AND SUBMIT TO NOTHING THAT IS / WRONG" on the left, "(Amerian Eagle) / AMERICAN BOWIE KNIFE" in center, and "THE UNITED STATES / THE LAND OF THE FREE / AND THE / HOME OF THE BRAVE / PROTECTED BY HER NOBLE AND BRAVE / VOLUNTEERS". Marked "STEVEN J. RAPP / UTAH" on left ricasso and "NO. 1" on right ricasso. Complete with velvet lined steel scabbard. CONDITION: Excellent+, with blade bright and markings crisp. Handle shows no major signs of distress. Scabbard is bright with minor handling marks.
