Roger Bergh was a member of the Art Knife Invitational from 2015-2017 and is well known for his Scandinavian style fixed Damascus blades with natural material handles. The Swedish knifemaker has been making knives since 1995, began making handles in 1973, and has been working with leather since 1969. 8 - 1/2" Damascus blade and 15" in overall length with walrus ivory handle. Cross guard is of a unique shape, with 1 quillon angling sharply up and 1 quillon angling down to make a finger groove. Handle is further accented with metal band below cross guard and metal band pommel, both with circular accents in a beehive pattern. Bergh signature maker mark on pommel. Complete with Bergh marked molded leather scabbard with accenting walrus ivory on one side. CONDITION: Excellent+, with blade retaining virtually all of its original finishes. Handle shows no major signs of distress. Scabbard is in matching condition with stitching tight and leather stiff. Some light wear beginning to occur on drag near the edge.
