Kentucky plains style halfstock percussion rifle built in Kalamazoo, Michigan by James Allen circa 1870. 29 - 5/8" octagonal .38 caliber rifled barrel with blade front sight, notched dovetail rear sight. Maker name "JAMES ALLEN" stamped on lock. Percussion lock with double set trigger control. Plain walnut stock with brass furniture. CONDITION: Overall fair with repaired forestock and buttstock. Good bore with good mechanics. DLM
