Circa 1890s. Bisque socket head incised Bru Jne 8 with black V tick marks (¾" firing line on right neck base, ¼” surface scratch between left eye and ear), classic Nursing Bru face with chubby cheeks, dark multi-stroked French eyebrows, dark brown paperweight eyes, molded upper eyelids, painted upper and lower lashes, rarely found original mohair upper eyelashes also, open “O” mouth for nursing, lip shading strokes, red nostril dots, pierced ears. Nursing mechanism still intact in head with outside lever, cork pate, original blonde mohair wig. Original French composition and wood fully jointed body (some wear on fingers). Original baby clothes: lovely white cotton Christening dress with tucks and lots of lace, slip, traditional French pique diaper with buttons, and pique booties, and bib. Rarely found later version of the popular Nursing Bru with lovely original wig and clothing. A great opportunity to add an exclusive name brand doll to your collection!
