Standard configuration P.08 Luger manufactured by Mauser in 1942. The receiver is stamped with the date code "42" over the chamber, with Mauser "(Eagle) / 135" waffenamts followed by an eagle firing proof on the right. Toggle bears Mauser's clandestine "byf" manufacturer code. Metal components are salt blued, while the frame is mounted with 2-piece checkered black plastic grips. All numbers are matching, with the exception of the magazine, which is a later aftermarket replacement. CONDITION: Metal components retain large amounts of their original salt blue finish, exhibiting areas of wear and thinning overall that show through to pleasant brown and gray patinas. Poor bore, exhibiting pitting and fair to good rifling throughout. Grips exhibit smoothing, scattered handling marks, and scattered impressions to the diamonds.
