Fantastic and crystal clear cased 9th plate ruby ambrotype image of a young, triple armed, Mississippi Confederate soldier. Under magnification, his uniform has distinctive 6-pointed star buttons with what looks like the word "MISSISSIPPI" surrounding each star, and a tin drum canteen is over his shoulder. He is armed with a large sheathed Bowie knife in his belt, and 2 underhammer single shot pistols. He has lightly tinted rose cheeks. CONDITION: Excellent as housed in a thermoplastic case.
