Nice lot of Revolutionary War and Civil War relics that were collected by Dr. John K. Lattimer. The lot includes a plastic bag of relics labeled by Lattimer's hand "RELICS OF BRADDOCKS DEFEAT IN PA." There is also a cannonball with an old paper label that reads "Cannon-ball from Valley Forge". Civil War artifacts include a pair of brass binoculars and a small box labeled "CIVIL WAR RELICS" that contains 3 Virginia buttons (back marked C. Wendlinger Richmond Va.), a US belt plate with dig location written on reverse, an eagle breastplate, also with dig location written on reverse, an eagle I button, 2 Minie balls, 1 musket ball, and tool. All items in the bocks are said to have been recovered from the Battle of Fredericksburg. A nice lot of Revolutionary War and Civil War relics from a renowned collection. CONDITION: Some relic, others fair-good.
