A nice lot of ephemera related to the United State's 31st President, Herbert Hoover. The lot contains several signatures, including 2 copies of the Sunday Magazine from August 6, 1961, both signed by Hoover. The story with these magazines is that Dr. John Lattimer received a signed copy for each of his children as gifts from the former president. There are also several pieces pertaining to the dedication of the Herbert Hoover Presidential Library, including 2 commemorative ribbons which are named to Mr. and Mrs. Lattimer. Also included is a letter from Hoover to Lattimer as well as a Western Union Telegram notifying Dr. Lattimer of Herbert Hoover's funeral services. These items were obviously part of the famous Dr. John K. Lattimer collection, as Lattimer and Hoover developed a friendship that lasted until the former president's death in 1964. The signatures remain legible with paper items exhibiting blemishes typical of old paper.
