Lot consists of: (A) Typed letter signed by Dwight D. Eisenhower on his initialed 5-star stationary regarding Eisenhower's apology for being unable to attend the 150th Anniversary of Deerfield Academy. The letter is accompanied by a James Spence Authentication Service Full Letter of Authenticity. Typed letter signed by Douglas Campbell, who was one of Eddie Rickenbacker's wingmen. The letter talks about the first day that the 94th Aero Squadron went into action and mentions Rickenbacker. Handwritten note at bottom signed by Campbell. There are also 2 letters from Randall Sutherland to John Lattimer, 1 mentions that Campbell letter. This lot is former Dr. John K. Lattimer Collection. CONDITION: Papers exhibit fold lines and light edge wear with legible text and signatures. CONDITION: Good.
