High condition fourth model. Single line barrel address and patent dates, "MERWIN HULBERT & CO. NEW YORK, U.S.A. PAT.APR. 17, 77. JUNE 15, 80. MAR. 14, 82. JAN.9, 83." Caliber designation on the left side of the frame "CALIBER WINCHESTER 1873". Ribbed barrel with a pinned front sight. Folding hammer with a fluted cylinder. Hammer and trigger guard are case colored. Two piece ivory grip panels with a lanyard loop on the butt. CONDITION: This gun retains most of the original factory-applied nickel finish. With most of the loss to the grip straps. Traces of case color on the trigger guard and hammer. Good bore with well-defined lands and grooves. Grips show age and are a little small for the gun.
