Likely built circa 1770. Fowler measures 58" overall with 42 - 1/2" round .77 caliber smoothbore barrel with bead front sight. Early style flint lock with single trigger control. Full length hardwood stock with brass hardware marked on trigger bow "N125". Scalloped tang carving. CONDITION: Overall fair with metal turning a gray patina with pitting. Brass aged to a golden original yellow. Wood has traces of original finish with a hole worn on saddle area and several cracks and slivers. Some brass has shrinkage gaps. Dark pitted bore. Mechanics need attention.
