Lot consists of: (A) Long rectangular cartridge box that measures approximately 10 - 1/2" x 2". Flap with circular decorations adorning its border and an 8-point star at the center. 22 tin tubes contained inside. Star designation and tin tubes could denote a mounted unit or light infantry. Long carry strap on reverse stitched to body in 2 places. Box exhibits scattered cracking with somewhat stiff leather. Flap remains attached with tear on the rear left side. Leather closing loop present but missing securing rivet or knot. CONDITION: Good. (B) Leather cartridge box measures approximately 9" x 4". Undecorated with 24-hole wood insert. Flap is separated but exhibits an older label that reads "Cartridge Box used in the Revolution Found by E.T. at Woodstock VT about 1880". Stiff leather with moderate creasing and cracks, especially on flap. Leather securing loop present but missing securing rivet or knot. CONDITION: Good. (C) Leather cartridge box that measures approximately 7 - 1/2" x 3". Flap with gold painted border and 6-pointed star at center. Iron trays contained inside. Leather sling is present but separated. Body exhibits stiff leather with cracking throughout. Nice patina. CONDITION: Fair.
