Model 1900 American Eagle Luger manufactured by DWM for commercial sales within the United States. The receiver bears the Great Seal of the United States over the chamber, with the intertwined "DWM" monogram present on the toggle. The left side of the barrel bears a small Swiss Geneva cross proof mark. The left side of the frame is engraved "CHARLES A. BROWN", with the front stamped "GERMANY" below the serial number. Major metal components are blued, while some smaller components are strawed or nitre blued. Frame is mounted with 2-piece checkered walnut grips. Matching numbers are present on the frame, takedown lever, sideplate, trigger, grip safety, barrel, receiver, breechblock, and toggles, as well as on the interior of the grip panels. This example is accompanied by a period black leather hard case with a French-cut blue velvet interior that holds 1 spare magazine and a brass cleaning rod. CONDITION: Very Good to Excellent, with metal components retaining the vast majority of their original factory blue finish, exhibiting mild edge wear, some spots of mild thinning, and some light oxidation on the grip straps. The right side of the barrel exhibits a couple of small dings but is otherwise fine. Strawed components retain the majority of their finish, exhibiting edge wear on the takedown and safety levers, with some wear and age-related discoloration present on the trigger. Grips exhibit some light smoothing but are otherwise excellent. Very bright bore, exhibiting some very light pitting and sharp and well-defined rifling throughout. The case is very good, with some minor exterior wear and a ding on the top right corner of the lid. The interior shows appropriate wear and discoloration with having housed this Luger. An excellent and extremely early production DWM Model 1900 American Eagle Luger.
