Shipped August 9, 1892. Fit with a replacement blued 24" round Winchester-proofed nickel steel barrel in updated .33 WCF chambering with sporting sights and a half-length magazine tube. Classic case-hardened receiver, lever, and hammer, with a factory single set trigger. Factory records confirm shipment with a checkered pistol grip stock. Currently fit with an unnumbered deluxe style figured walnut stock with ebony inlaid pistol grip and checkered hard rubber rubber "WINCHESTER / REPEATING / ARMS CO." shotgun butt plate. Receiver tang marked with "287XX" assembly number and wood grade. Appropriate checkered walnut forend and case-hardened cap. CONDITION: Excellent as expertly and artfully restored. Nearly all of the attractive reapplied finishes are retained with some light muzzle wear and scattered handling marks. Replacement stocks are very fine, retaining sharp checkering with some scattered handling marks and an impression near the heel. Butt plate shows some light wear and nicks. Very good, strong bore. Set trigger in need of adjustment, but otherwise mechanically fine.
