Included factory letter indicates that this revolver shipped as a 4 - 3/4" blued gun in .32-20, unlisted stocks, and sent in a shipment of 25 to Wyeth Hardware & Manufacturing Company, St. Joseph, Missouri, on October 14th, 1907. The revolver remains in that configuration with the barrel marked on top with 2-line Colt information, left side with caliber marking. Kidney-shaped ejector rod head. The rear sight is a modified dovetailed square notch rear sight, somewhat crude, dovetailed over the original notch. The frame has 2-line patent information with encircled rampant Colt; visible Colt sub-inspection proofs on the trigger guard. Matching numbers observed on the frame, trigger guard, and butt. Hard rubber grips. CONDITION: Metal is largely dove grey, mixed with a chocolate patina on the barrel and ejector rod housing. Barrel with some heat distortion and evidence of cold blue and polishing. Cylinder has flashes of blue in the flutes. Grips are very good, with some handling marks and smoothing throughout, with one minor chip at the top of the left scale. Mechanically fine with all four Colt clicks, the bore has visible rifling and some concentrated pitting approximately halfway down the barrel.
