Manufactured in 1909 with a high polish blued finish. Standard 4 - 1/2" barrel chambered in .38 ACP with half moon front sight and dovetail adjustable u-notch rear. The left side of the slide is correctly marked with a post-1908 2-line address and patent dates, while the right side bears "AUTOMATIC COLT / CALIBER 38 RIMLESS SMOKELESS" stamping. The 2-piece checkered hard rubber grips read "COLT" across the top, and feature central encircled rampant Colts. The magazine is unmarked. CONDITION: Good overall, retaining the majority of the factory-applied blued finishes. The gun shows some expected wear, especially on the slide and rear grip strap, drifting to a dove gray patina. Grips retain excellent detail with a chip and small crack present on the top of the right panel. Bore retains strong rifling with frosted surfaces. Mechanically fine.
