Parkinson was issued Patent number 48,201 on June 13, 1865, for improving magazine firearms. Gun with a half-round in-the-white .32 caliber rimfire rifled barrel with blade front sight and missing dovetail rear sight. In-the-white finished action and 4-shot cylinder. Large spur hammer with a single trigger. Dark-finished maple stocks with brass hardware, including 2 fullly brass-covered compartments holding the tubular rope and wheel-operated magazine.
