Standard configuration TT-33 semi-automatic pistol manufactured at the Tula arsenal during 1940. The left side of the frame bears the serial number followed by a Tula arsenal "(Star)" and the year of manufacture "1940", with matching stampings present over the top of the slide. Metal components are blued (except for the barrel, which is polished in-the-white), while the frame is mounted with 2-grooved "CCCP" marked black plastic grips. Matching numbers are present on the frame, hammer assembly, slide, and barrel, as well as on the magazine. A reproduction holster, a non-original cleaning rod, and a non-matching magazine accompany this example CONDITION: Metal components retain the majority of their period arsenal blue finish, exhibiting areas of mild surface oxidation overall and areas of wear and thinning that show through to a pleasant brown patina on the grip straps. Bore is bright, exhibiting consistent mild to moderate pitting and strong rifling. Grips exhibit some scattered marks from handling and storage but are otherwise fine. The holster is excellent. A nice, all-matching example of a desirable Russian World War II production TT-33 semi-automatic pistol.
