Manufactured by Enfield in 1887. Arsenal reapplied blued finish throughout. 33" round barrel chambered in .577/450 with proofs at breech, Mk IV front sight blade, and ladder rear sight. Right side of receiver marked with the cypher of Queen Victoria and manufacture information. Plain hardwood butt stock with various Nepalese and other Commonwealth arsenal stampings. Full length walnut forend retained by 2 bands. Rifle is complete with cleaning rod, period leather sling, and a Wilkinson P1887 sword bayonet with leather scabbard. CONDITION: Very good overall. Metal components retain the majority of their arsenal reapplied blue with some freckling and toning, especially on the lever. Markings light. Stocks are dark with impressions. Good bore displaying defined rifling. Mechanically fine.
