M/40S manufactured by Husqvarna under contract for the Danish Police force during the mid-1940s. The left side of the receiver is stamped "HUSQVARNA VAPENFABRIKS A.B." above the serial number, with the right side bearing a small "SWEDEN" stamp towards the barrel. Metal components are blued, while the frame is mounted with 2-piece checkered black plastic grips. Matching numbers are present on the frame and receiver. Pistol is accompanied by an original brown leather holster containing 2 spare magazines, a cleaning rod, an oiler, and a magazine loader/takedown tool. CONDITION: Excellent, with metal components retaining the vast majority of their original factory blue finish, exhibiting some mild holster wear on some edges and some superficial marks from handling and storage. Brilliant mirror bore, exhibiting sharp and well-defined rifling throughout. Grips are excellent, exhibiting some verdigris build up, but are otherwise fine. Holster remains malleable, exhibiting some minor wear overall and some verdigris on brass components.
