This important knife was presented to Peter Laidel. Jr. in the mid-1960s by knife maker Bill Scagel, who was his neighbor. Peter Laidel, Jr. was born in Hungary in 1900 and died in 1982 in Spring Lake, Ottawa County, Michigan. The knife measures 10 - 1/2" overall with a clip point blade of 5 - 7/8". The right side of the blade is inscribed "Peter Laidal" above an engraved arrow pointing to the tip of the blade. Keris mark stamped on opposite side. Ivory grip scales. CONDITION: Excellent, showing no use and some possible minor light scratches on blade from storage. A fine knife. PROVENANCE: ex. Dr. Lucie.
