Made by the Savage Revolving Firearms Company, Middletown, Connecticut, with 20,000 made between 1861 and mid-1860s. Blued 7" octagonal barrel with cone front sight and blued loading lever. Unmarked cylinder, case-hardened hammer, heart-shaped trigger guard, and figure 8-shaped trigger mechanism. Frame marked on top with Savage address and patent dates with 2-piece walnut varnished grips. CONDITION: Overall good, with metal having some added browning. Traces of original varnish with handling and usage marks. Dark pitted bore with functional mechanics.
