Converted Sharps Model 1863 Carbine done by Sharps following the Civil War. Blued 22" round 3-groove rifled relined barrel with integral blade front sight and graduated flip rear sight with light illegible Sharps marking at breech. Case hardened converted percussion action with Sharp's 1848 Patent on right and Lawrence 1859 and C. Sharp's 1852 patent dates on right. Plain walnut buttstock with saddle ring and matching plain walnut forearm. CONDITION: Metal has worn to a silvery patina with light freckling. Wood has been cleaned with no visible repairs or inspector marks. Good bore with good mechanics.
