Manufactured 1884. Single line Colt address across top of barrel, partial serial number under ejector rod housing, which is fit with stud and kidney shaped head. "S7214" is stamped on underside of barrel, repeated on butt, with an unknown meaning. Cylinder with partial serial number. Matching full serials found on frame, trigger guard, and butt. "4034" assembly observed on loading gate. 1-piece walnut grips with no markings. CONDITION: Metal cleaned to bright metal throughout, with areas of pitting visible, along with polishing marks and other evidence of cleaning. Legends are visible throughout, barrel address somewhat softened. Stocks are good with handling marks and a few deeper hits possibly refreshed. Mechanically fine, bore has strong visible rifling and areas of oxidation throughout.
