A nicely written letter signed by 6th President of the United States John Quincy Adams during his post-presidential years. The letter is dated February 5th, 1832, and is addressed to Dr. David Hosack, an American physician known as the doctor who tended to the fatal injuries of Alexander Hamilton after his duel with Aaron Burr. Adams expresses his gratitude for receiving a medical text written by Hosack and records other pleasantries, including stating that he looks forward to visiting the doctor at his residence the following summer. Adams signs the letter "I am with great Respect, Dear Sir, you friend and Servant / J.Q. Adams". The signature was authenticated and comes with a James Spence Authentication Full Letter of Authenticity. This letter is former Dr. John K. Lattimer Collection. Nice edges with noticeable fold lines. Crips writing with slight fading in areas. Clear signature. Visible light handling wear CONDITION: Very good.
