Admiral Horatio Lord Nelson (1758-1805) was a British naval officer famous for his victories against the French during the Napoleonic Wars. He is remembered as one of the greatest British war heroes in history who died during the Battle of Trafalgar in 1805. These 3 strands of hair were once part of the "Biggest Famous Hair Collection" of John Reznikoff, who collected hair from deceased historical figures. The hair was purchased by another renowned collector, Dr. John K. Lattimer. The hair is accompanied by previous auction information from Bonhams as well as a Certificate of Authenticity. The hair was once stored in an envelope that contained the hair and a letter from Horatia Nelson regarding the presentation of Lord Nelson's hair and is noted to have been retained by University Archives. CONDITION: Preserved behind plastic, presents in very good condition. These hair stands were once part of the Dr. John K. Lattimer Collection.
