Letter lists this revolver as shipped to E.C. Meacham Arms Company, St. Louis, Missouri, on June 4th, 1894, as a 7 - 1/2" blued gun in .32-20 and with unlisted stocks, sold to R.G. Spoerl, in a shipment of 2. Present configuration is with a 5 - 1/2" barrel, the front sight has been replaced with a square-backed blade front sight in .32 WCF, reblued. The grips are hard rubber with a rampant Colt embossed. The backstrap is marked "W.F. & Co.". Accompanied by 3 badges, one reproduction Wells Fargo guard badge, an H.V. Richards Express badge, number 11, and a Wells Fargo Express Co. Special Agent badge, spurious. Additionally is a large horseshoe-shaped dispatch bag and a 4-pocket wallet with spurious markings for Wells Fargo. CONDITION: Revolver has been reblued with handling marks and some fine pitting visible under the new bluing. Some silvering to high edges. The cylinder axle rod was replaced. Right grip toe replaced. Matching "85" observed on cylinder gate, back of the cylinder, and frame under right grip; the left grip is incised "FH / 1965".
