A scarce triple round cheek strap with the diamond pattern and accent color. Attached matching bosel. All in black and natural with red accents. As described in the book: "The maker of this transitional period piece is known to have hitched four other important bridles identifiable by the colors and pattern of his hitching. This rare and important bridle illustrates the use of the triple-round side cheek straps, found only one other bridle, which he made (fig 4.30). From the short black tassels and the glass rosettes, one can infer that this bridle was possibly started in Yuma. The brilliant-colored horsehair tassels on the ends of the commercially made tie-down rope from the bosel, and the use of brighter colors in the hitching, might indicate that this bridle was finished in Florence".
