a) 35” long horsehair hitched quirt with yellow and red elongated diamond designs on black ground with two yellow, purple and red buttons, and two white and orange tassels, plus original leather handle-strap and popper. Fine condition, c. 1915-20.
b) 44” long (38” to middle hole) x 1” wide horsehair hitched-braided penitentiary made belt attributed to Deer Lodge prison in Montana. Designed with bold geometric patterns in black, orange, purple and red on white ground. Leather ends and buckle appear original. Good condition, c. 1920s.
c) 32” long (28” to middle hole) x 1” wide horsehair hitched braided penitentiary made belt attributed to Walla Walla prison in Washington. Designed with elongated diamond patterns in green, red, blue, black and natural white on dark ground. Black exotic ends were probably a later redo. Very good condition, c. 1930s.
