A decorative gift made to resemble a dagger, built from what appears to be a staff topper and a hair-on deer leg complete with dew claws and hoof. Correct period engraving on the blade "Texas Jack * Happy Hunting / Robert" the blade is 10" with a broken tip. Overall the piece is 22 - 1/4".
Texas Jack (John Baker) Omohundro (1846-1880) was an American scout, cowboy, Confederate soldier, actor, partner and a friend to Buffalo Bill Cody.
