Serial # 50986. Cal/GA: 45-70. Manufacture date: Circa 1886. Barrel length: 18 inches. Springfield 1884 Carbine Trapdoor. Eagle and U.S. 1884 on right side of lock. Model 1878 stamped on trapdoor. Bore is good and rifling is sharp. Bluing on metal surfaces worn to gray. Original stock shows handling wear, as usual for age of this gun. Parts of rear sight are missing. Originality: 75%.
