A very nice example of a German WWII ZF41/1 sniper scope with mount complete with original carrying case. The 1.5 power magnification ZF41/1 scope was designed for use with the K98 carbine and was first issued in quantities in 1941, along with a metal carrying case. The scope is nicely marked "cag / Z.F.41/1" behind the 1-8 graduated elevation knob for D. Swarovski Glasfabrik. A blue cross is between the markings indicating the scope was greased for cold climates. The eyepiece is numbered "3746". Complete with sheet metal front and rear sunshields. The mount is marked "duv" and "Eagle 214" which indicates Berlin-Lubecker Maschinenfabrik. The set is complete with its original ordnance tan painted metal carrying case. Case is marked "jvb" indicating production by the company of Wessel & Müller from Lückenwalde. The carrying case retains most of its original tan paint. The scope retains generous amounts of its original finish with clear markings and only light scattered blemishes. Optics are cloudy and scope has trouble focusing. CONDITION: Good.
