Lot consists of (A) Third Reich police bayonet with a "WEYERSBERG KIRSCHBAUM & CO SOLINGEN" marked nickel-plated steel blade that exhibits scattered marks throughout its length. Evidence of an older attempt at sharpening. Nickel-plated brass fittings are excellent, with the police unit marking of "S.D.IV.568." present, which translates to Schotzpolizei, Berlin District, Rack/Item #8641. Stag grips are undamaged with an aluminum Polizei emblem. Black leather scabbard has light wear with minor cracks and creases, and the nickel-plated fittings exhibit a chocolate patina with scattered marks. There is a faint number on the throat. Black leather frog with steel rivets marked "WITTKOP & CO". CONDITION: Good. (B) Third Reich police bayonet with an "ALEXANDER COPPEL / SOLINGEN" marked nickel-plated steel blade. Blade has scattered marks with light freckling. Evidence of an older attempt at sharpening. Nickel-plated brass fittings exhibit a nice patina, with the police unit marking of "S.KO.I.1636." present which translates to Schotzpolizei, Municipal Police Property, Administratine District Koln, Duty Location 1, Rack/Item #846. Stag grips are undamaged with aluminum Polizei emblem. Black leather scabbard has light wear. The nickel-plated fittings retain most of their finish with scattered marks. Scabbard is unmarked. CONDITION: Very good.
