Lot consists of: (A) Luftwaffe 1st model dagger with a "Siegfried Waffen, Solingen" marked blade with moderate runner and scattered marks, as well as light freckling and staining throughout. Visible crossgraining. Aluminum fittings have wear and a nice patina; swastikas retain nice amounts of their gold finish. Blue leather wire-wrapped grip has light wear with scattered blemishes and loose wire. Blue leather-covered steel scabbard exhibits scattered blemishes in the leather. Aluminum fittings exhibit light oxidation. Drag and middle mount are each missing a screw. Aluminum chain hanger exhibits light wear and staining throughout with a " GES. GESCH OLC" marked clip. CONDITION: Good. (B) Luftwaffe 2nd Model dagger with "WKC SOLINGEN" marked nickel-plated steel blade. The blade exhibits nice crossgraining with moderate runner marks and scattered blemishes throughout. Aluminum cross-guard and pommel retain most of the dark finish in the recesses with a nice patina. The wire-wrapped orange trylon grip has nice patina with scattered blemishes and a chip below the pommel. The finished steel scabbard exhibits evidence of an older cleaning with a dent toward the drag. An original Luftwaffe Portepee is loosely attached to the grip with notable fraying. Guard is slightly loose. CONDITION: Good
