Made circa 1863 to 1875. Standard configuration with blued finish, 8" octagon barrel stamped, 3-line "NEW MODEL" address, blade front sight, frame notch rear, and 6-shot percussion cylinder. Subinspector marks present throughout. Grips are contemporary replacement 2-piece smooth walnut. CONDITION: Good. Portions of original blued finish is retained, mixing with some chemically turned patina. Cylinder has some marring. Grips are very good. Bore retains strong rifling with frosting and a few larger black powder pits. Mechanically fine.
