Standard configuration K98k manufactured by Mauser during the latter end of World War II. The receiver is stamped with a Mauser "(Eagle)/ 135" waffenamt above "byf" and "44" over the chamber. Metal components are blued, with the stock and handguard comprising laminated wood. All numbers match and include the receiver, bolt assembly, barrel bands, trigger guard, floorplate, stock, and handguard. The rifle is mounted with an "L&F" marked period brown leather sling and a "43 cul" marked bayonet with a non-matching scabbard. CONDITION: Metal components retain the majority of their original arsenal blue finish, exhibiting thinning and wear overall that shows through to a gray patina overall. Mirror bore, exhibiting sharp and well-defined rifling throughout. The stock exhibits some marks from storage and handling but is otherwise fine. Sling exhibits age-related cracking and some spots of crazing. Bayonet is very good as refinished.
