Manufactured in 1892. Standard blued 26" octagon barrel chambered in .45-70 with a full-length magazine tube, 2-line address, blade front sight, "1886" marked ladder rear sight graduated to 1000 yards, and an additional tang mounted Lyman peep sight. Case-hardened lever action receiver. Classic 2-piece walnut stocks with blued nose cap and case-colored crescent rifle butt plate. CONDITION: Fine. The vast majority of factory blue is retained on the barrel, with the magazine drifting to a gray patina. Receiver has largely faded to a silvery patina with some faint case-hardened patterning. Nose cap and butt plate retain nearly all of their reapplied finishes. Stocks are very fine with some light marks. Fine bright bore displays well-defined rifling throughout. Fine mechanics.
