Third model rifle manufactured in 1893 in .22 Short chambering. Blued 24" octagon barrel with blade front sight, buckhorn rear, 2-line address stamp, and full-length magazine tube. Correct blued receiver without loading gate. Elevator engraved "22 CAL / SHORT". Standard 2-piece plain grain walnut stock with blued nose cap and crescent rifle butt plate. CONDITION: Very good overall. Portions of original factory blue are retained, especially in protected areas, with the balance drifting to a silvery brown patina. Receiver and breech have some nicks and impressions. Stocks are fine as lightly cleaned with a few minor impressions. Dark, pitted bore. Mechanically fine.
