Gunstock style war club decorated with green pigment, hot branding of triangles on the butt portion, the body decorated with brass tacks. A notched spear point fitted to the stock. This is a fine example of the style. This type of very lethal weapon was believed to have been developed based on the Native tribes encounters with European weapons but some historians believe they were designed in this form much earlier. 25" long by 15" wide at the shoulder with a 5 - 1/4" long steel point.
