1 of only approximately 3,000 Model 1906 American Eagle Lugers produced by DWM chambered for the 9x19mm Parabellum cartridge for commercial sales within the United States. The receiver bears the Great Seal of the United States over the chamber, with DWM's intertwined monogram present on the front toggle. Major metal components are rust blued; some smaller components are straw or nitre blued. The frame is mounted with 2-piece checkered walnut grips. All numbers match in the "hidden" commercial fashion, including the frame, takedown lever, sideplate, grip safety, barrel, receiver, breechblock, and toggles. A blank wood bottom magazine is a replacement. The pistol is complete with a brown leather holster. CONDITION: Very good, with metal components retaining the vast majority of their original factory blue finish, exhibiting some areas of mild wear and thinning that show through to gray and brown patina, as well as mild surface oxidation overall. Bore is bright, exhibiting moderate pitting and strong rifling throughout. The grips are excellent. The leather holster is stiff and exhibits age-related cracking.
