Manufactured in 1865. Fit with a polish blued 4" octagon barrel with New York address and pin front sight. 6-shot .31 caliber percussion cylinder rollmarked with a strong stagecoach holdup scene set in a case-hardened frame. Silver plated brass grip straps with smooth 1-piece varnished walnut grips. Housed in an attractive partitioned hardwood case with correct flask, Colt's Patent dual cavity mold, and Eley cap tin. CONDITION: Very fine. Barrel retains the vast majority of its original blued finish with some high edge wear and thinning, the cylinder also retains significant portions of thinning original blue. Very bright case colors appear redone at some point, present with some areas fading to patina. Majority of silver plating retained on grip straps, wearing through to areas of brass. Grips have a few minor marks. Strong, frosted bore. Mechanically fine. Case and accessories are very good, display well.
