Manufactured 1943. Standard configuration with serrated ramp front sight, flat top square notch rear sight, 2 line address with "N.Y. U.S.A." variation. Colt barrel with "COLT 45 AUTO" on lower left of chamber, "F" in front of lug, "P" on left lug. Frame with "G" near disconnector, and appropriate other proofs, including FJA proof. Small parts comprise narrow checkered hammer, checkered thick tab safety serrated slide release, checkered magazine release, short stamped trigger, long A1 grip safety, arched serrated mainspring housing with lanyard loop. Keyes fibre grips with reinforcing rings. Full blued magazine with "S" on baseplate indicating manufacture by Scoville. Housed a contemporary kraft box with ink stamps duplicating original release information and housing a spare mummy-wrapped magazine, and accompanied by 4 double magazine pouches, 3 R.H. Longs dated 9-18 and a P.B. & Co dated 11-1918. CONDITION: Overall excellent with portions factory reparkerized. Slide is excellent, original, with some handling marks throughout, some silvering, and good visible tempering at the slide stop and towards muzzle. Frame is refinished at factory quality with sharp legends, a parkerized feed ramp, and some slight handling marks. Some silvering to high edges and reciprocating areas. Mechanically fine, bore is very good with some frosting and oxidation towards muzzle. Box is fine as new, magazine pouches are very good.
